Chelsea reportedly stopped Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk from playing in the Olympics.
The Blues Has recently welcomed Enzo Maresca as their new coach and they are already making preparations for the preseason.
Many members of his team will be competing in major tournaments this summer. Fernandez with Argentina in the Copa América and mudryk with Ukraine in Euro 2024.
The Paris Olympics also begin on July 26, but the daily mail reports that Chelsea have prevented the duo from representing their respective nations.
Chelsea suffered a host of injuries last season and are said to want a fully fit team ahead of the new campaign under Maresca.
Midfielder Fernandez missed the Blues' final six games of the season after intervened in his hernia.
The 23-year-old has 21 caps for Argentina, seven of them in their 2022 World Cup-winning campaign.
They face Peru, Chile and Canada in their Copa América group, which begins June 20.
Fernández was said to be willing to play in the competition and the Olympic Games, but Chelsea's decision was “made in their best interests.”
Mudryk spent most of the 2023/24 season in form for Chelsea but missed the final game due to concussion.
He has made 19 appearances for Ukraine and scored on the way to qualifying for Euro 2024.
The winger is likely to be key for his country at Euro 2024, where group stage matches will be played against Romania, Slovakia and Belgium.
Chelsea will compete on several fronts next season, including the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.
The Blues are also ready for the Europa Conference League qualifying round, as well as the revamped Club World Cup at the end of next season.
