Chelsea vs Club América: What has been said?
Despite it being a pre-season friendly, Maresca was not happy with what he saw against Celtic.
He said: “Away from the ball we need to improve things.
“Sometimes we can get confused when we have to play short and when we have to play a little longer, but that's part of the process.
“We kept a high line, but when the ball is not under pressure, you have to go down… we are still confusing some things with and without the ball. It is normal at this moment when we are trying to do something new.
“For us, we have to analyse the game as a whole. I think with the ball, the team was ten times better than in the game against Wrexham and that is important because we can see the amount of chances we created in the first and second half.
“The result is always important, but at the moment we have to judge and analyse different things. With the ball we created chances, without the ball we probably conceded too many and that is something we have to improve.”
