Chris Eubank Jr jokes about a 'career change' after training with Manchester United stars on the club's pre-season tour

Chris Eubank Jr may be preparing for his boxing return, but he jokingly told Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag he is ready for a “career change”.

Wearing the club's new shirt Blue away kit Wearing the number 10 on his back, Eubank shared a video on his Instagram story where he can be seen putting his skills to the test.

Joining in with the training, he did a series of stretches, before showing off his footwork with the ball.

He then posted two photos of himself on social media alongside United's England internationals. Marcus Rashford and Mount Mason.

The two-time IBO super-middleweight champion joked he could hang up his boots to join United in an ironic title fight.

He said in Instagram: “Is it too late for a career change? PUT ME IN AS A MANAGER! @manchesterunited”.

Eubank Jr has made no secret of his love for the Old Trafford side, with whom he spent time last year during his pre-season at América.

Speaking to United website In the summer of 2023, he commented: “I know these guys, I've been following them for years.

“They're a great group of guys. I'm very close with some of them.

“We are athletes and they appreciate the things I do in the boxing ring.

“These guys are at the top of their sport, so we get along really well. The energy is really exciting.”

Before adding: “I'm really looking forward to seeing how this team does, there's a lot of potential and I think they're going to go far.”

His words proved true as United managed to secure FA Cup glory last season, although they struggled in the Premier League, finishing in eighth place.
