Manchester City have rejected a £25m bid for goalkeeper Ederson from Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, talkSPORT understands.

Earlier this month we reported that the Premier League champions were preparing for an offer for the Brazilian international.

The offer has already arrived, however, Manchester City have rejected Al Nassr's initial offer.

This is because the club are looking for a fee in excess of £30m before considering letting the goalkeeper go.

Ought Ederson If he were to move to Al Nassr, he would join the former Manchester United star. Cristiano Ronaldoas well as his former City teammate Aymeric Laporte.

The 30-year-old joined from Benfica in the summer of 2017 and has won a host of trophies.

That includes six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups and one Champions League.

Ederson has made 332 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions.

His current contract expires in June 2026.

Manchester City extended the contract of back-up goalkeeper Stefan Ortega last month, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

He impressed when filling in for Ederson during the Brazilian's injury spells last season and will likely take over the No. 1 role if Ederson leaves.

Ederson could yet become the latest City star to switch from Manchester to Saudi Arabia.

Al Nassr's Laporte was sold by City last summer in a Agreement worth 25.6 million pounds.

Meanwhile Riyad Mahrez joined Al Nassr's rivals Al Ahli for £30m during the same window.
