Today, the DFL has announced the complete schedule for the 2024/25 Bundesliga season which kicks off on 24th August.
The season opener is on the 17th August when Bayer Leverkusen played VfB Stuttgart in the DFL Super Cup at the BayArena.
Defending champions Leverkusen then open the actual Bundesliga season away against Borussia Mönchengladbach at Borussia Park. Borussia Dortmund kick start their Bundesliga season under new head coach Nuri Sahin at home against Eintracht Frankfurt. While Bayern Munich under Vincent Kompany travel to Wolfsburg.
Die Werkself then play Bayern on match day 5 (away) and match day 22 (home) and face Dortmund MD 16 (away) and MD 33 (home).
The first Der Klassiker of the season takes place on MD 12 in Dortmund with the return game on MD 29.
Other notable games see RB Leipzig face Bayern on MD 15 and 32, Dortmund on MD 9 and 26 and Leverkusen on MD 2 and 19.
Surprise package from last season, VfB Stuttgart will also be a team to look out for next season and play Dortmund on MD 4 and 21, Leverkusen on 9 and 26 and Bayern on MD 7 and 24.
Newly promoted St Pauli play in their first game back in their German top flight at home against Heidenheim while Holstein Kiel’s first-ever game in the Bundesliga sees them face Hoffenheim. Kiel’s first-ever home game is against Wolfsburg a week later.
