On June 30, Barcelona announced the departure of Marcos Alonso, whose contract expires on that day. Sergi Roberto also did, but interestingly, his exit was not confirmed or announced by the club, even though his job was no longer.
In recent weeks, Roberto has held out for a return to Barcelona, fielding offers from the Premier League in the process. He is also used in the training complex of the club, although he is not part of Hansi Flick's team since he is not contracted.
The saga has now reached its end, and it is not a happy solution for Roberto. MD they informed that a farewell ceremony for the 32-year-old will be held on Tuesday at the Auditori 1899 in the Spotify Camp Nou.

Roberto had been with Barcelona since 2006, but his association with the club does not continue. Ultimately, he could not get assurances that he would be re-registered after the signing, so it makes sense for a clean break.
