That according to YouTube, where the The Portuguese superstar continues to gain subscribers -or 'subscribers' as fans call them- at a record pace.

Ronaldo decided to try his hand at creating YouTube content earlier this week and immediately proved that he is one of the most famous people on the planet.

Less than 90 minutes after going live, the 39-year-old's channel surpassed the 1 million subscriber mark, a record for the streaming site.

Since then, Ronaldo's channel has shown little sign of slowing down, with over 17 million subscribers at the time of writing, a number that is sure to continue to rise.

As a result, Ronaldo has already attracted more subscribers than several key figures and clubs in their lifetime.

CR7 has already attracted more subscribers than any team he has played for in his career.

Sporting Lisbon (322,000), Manchester United (9.31 m), real Madrid (14.9 m) and Juventus (8.41 million) have fewer subscribers than the Portuguese superstar.
