Crystal Palace could make money if the defender returns to the Premier League
Crystal Palace can expect a significant cash windfall if a Premier League club completes a deal for Lyon star Jake O'Brien.
Several clubs are interested in O'Brien, who could return to the Premier League this summer and win crystal Palace some serious money
The Eagles sold O'Brien to Lyon last summer, and the French club is owned by Palace co-owner John Textor.
According to the daily mailthe south London side included a 25 per cent sell-on clause and Lyon priced the 6ft 6in centre-back at £15m.
West Ham are favourites to sign O'Brien, who made 32 appearances last season and scored five goals, three of them headers.

If Lyon reach the asking price of £15m, Palace would be entitled to 25 per cent of that fee, which amounts to £3.75m.
And that would be a welcome fee, considering they sold the 23-year-old for £850,000 last August, representing a massive boost on his original transfer.
O'Brien initially joined Palace on loan from Irish club Cork City in 2020 before the deal was made permanent a year later.
However, he never played for the Eagles and was instead loaned out to Swindon Town and Belgian side RWD Molenbeek.

After an impressive season in the Challenger Pro League, Lyon snapped up the defender and his performances have continued to improve.
West Ham desperate for a defender this summer with new boss Julen Lopetegui eyeing his former Wolves captain Max Kilman, although an initial offer was rejected.
If a deal cannot be reached with Wolves, the Hammers will quickly move on to other targets, of which O'Brien is a leading alternative.
Everton are also desperate to strengthen their defensive line with Ben Godfrey leaving this week for Atalanta, while Mason Holgate is also expected to leave this summer.
That would leave the Toffees with just three central defenders: Jarrad Branthwaite, Michael Keane and James Tarkowski, the latter duo being 31 years old, while the former has been linked to a movement to manchester united.
