Crystal Palace are ready to sack Roy Hodgson, talkSPORT understands.
The Eagles are increasing their interest in former Frankfurt manager Olivier Glasner to prepare for Hodgson's departure.
President Steve Parish is ideally sought after hodgson to remain in charge until his contract expires in the summer, but his hand has been forced after a dismal run of three wins in 19 games.
Austrian Glasner has managed four different teams over a ten-year period, with the last coach being German side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Glasner guided Frankfurt to Europa League glory in his first season in charge, where beat Rangers on penalties in the final.
The 49-year-old also managed Wolfsburg and Austrian teams LASK and SV Ried.
Former England manager Hodgson looks set to leave Selhurst Park as manager for the second time.
Hodgson was re-appointed in March 2023 after Patrick Vieira was sacked following a poor run of results.
After successfully leading the Eagles to safety, Hodgson signed a one-year contract.
However, he is not expected to see out that contract with Palace in danger of sleepwalking towards the relegation zone.
Palace are 15th in the Premier League table with 24 points from as many games with six wins, six draws and 12 losses.
Their most recent outing saw them suffer a 3-1 home defeat to Chelsea despite being 1-0 up at half-time on Monday night.
