Aston Villa Women’s Supporters’ Player of the Season went to Rachel Daly at the club’s End of Season Awards Dinner.
The striker collected the accolade for a second successive year as fans, players and staff came together for a prestigious ceremony in the Lower Grounds at Villa Park.
Daly tops the Women’s scoring charts with 15 ahead of their final game of the season and has helped the team to record a seventh-place finish in the Super League.
Eight of those goals came in the Continental League Cup as Villa made it through to the semi-finals for the first time in their history.
Kirsty Hanson scooped the Players’ Player of the Season award following a strong campaign.
The 26-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Villa before joining permanently in August, continued to be a defender’s nightmare, flying down the left wing with pace and power.
Among her key contributions during the current campaign was a crucial equalising goal in the League Cup quarter-final against Brighton & Hove Albion, which Villa went on to win on penalties.
Danielle Turner won Goal of the Season for a stunning effort against Manchester City in December.
Villa took an early lead at the title contenders thanks to the defender’s seventh-minute strike.
Turner, who had her back to goal, met Kenza Dali’s cross with a cultured volley that curled away from the ‘keeper and nestled into the far corner.
In addition to winning Supporters’ Player of the Season, Daly was also recognised for her career achievements.
She made the difficult decision to retire from international football in April after a glittering career with England.
The 32-year-old has been a prolific scorer since joining Aston Villa Women in 2022, but it was as a defender that she helped England win a first major tournament.
Daly was a standout performer at left-back as the Lionesses won the 2022 UEFA European Championship on home soil, beating Germany in the final at Wembley.
A year later, she started the World Cup final as England lost out to Spain in Australia.
Daly won 84 caps for the Lionesses and scored 16 goals.
