Bild reports that Bayern Munich target and Rennes attacker Désiré Doué wants to join the club this summer instead of moving to PSG.
Despite Doué’s decision to join Bayern, it does not mean a deal is close to completion. The Rekordmeister recently made a new bid of €50m for the 19-year-old but French news outlets report that the Parisian club have made a bid of €60m for Doué.
As PSG continue to try and push for a move for Doué it is unclear if the player may change his mind if the Qatari back club offer more money to him or if despite Doué’s preference to move to Bavaria his current club Rennes sells him to their Ligue 1 counterparts.
Doué is currently with the France under-23 team at the Olympics where he played eight minutes in a 3-0 win against the USA.
It seems that Bayern has now turned their attention to Doué as their other target Xavi Simons favours a return to RB Leipzig for another season instead of a move to the Allianz Arena.
