Atletico Madrid head Diego Simeone hit to by Thibaut Courtois attitude amid chaotic scenes at the Estadio Metropolitano.

Los Rojiblancos scraped a 1-1 derby in the most dramatic of venues as Angel Correa scored in the 95th minute to cap off a wild night in the Spanish capital.

The end result was just a story of the encounter as the match officials chose to suspend the match in the final stage.

Both sets of players were ordered off the pitch as stadium security battled to keep control of a raging scene between Atletico Madrid's ultras.

Former player Courtois was the target of his fury as he appeared to goad fans, after Real Madrid opening purpose.

This sparked a backlash, as fans threw lighters and other objects onto the pitch, with masked fans shouting in anger at the Los Blancos No.1.

Simeone called for calm during the melee but the Argentine coach hinted that Courtois still has to take responsibility for his actions.

“We all have to help. If we try people, they get angry,” as quotes from DAZN.

“You can celebrate a goal, but not by looking at the stands, mocking them and making gestures. It is not justified, but also what followed.”

Courtois could be investigated by La Liga, but Atletico Madrid will be punished by the league in the coming weeks, over potential charges related to crowd trouble.
