Jhon Durán was handed his first Premier League start of the season for Aston Villa’s clash against Southampton.
The Colombia international striker, who had registered four league goals from 14 substitute appearances, was named in Unai Emery’s starting XI for the encounter at Villa Park.
Durán was one of four changes from Wednesday’s 3-1 triumph over Brentford – with Pau Torres, Diego Carlos and Ian Maatsen also included.
Matty Cash, Tyrone Mings, Lucas Digne and Ollie Watkins were named among the substitutes as the Villans went in search of back-to-back wins.
There was also a place in the matchday 20 for fit-again midfielder Amadou Onana, while there were a series of milestones for a trio of Villa players against Saints.
Durán and Boubacar Kamara both made their 50th Premier League appearances for the club and Leon Bailey registered his 100th in claret and blue.
