According to Florian Plettenberg, Eintracht Frankfurt are set to sign PAOK centre-back Konstantinos Koulierakis.
Previously, it had been reported that Paris Saint-Germain were looking into the possibility of luring Willian Pacho away from the Bundesliga.
With personal talks advancing, the Parisians decided to hit the accelerator and quickly finalise a deal with Die Adler for the Ecuadorian.
This left Frankfurt in need of finding a replacement for the 22-year-old.
Nevertheless, quite quickly, Frankfurt established Koulierakis as their ideal successor for the departing Pacho.
Now, as stated in the report, an agreement between Eintracht and PAOK has been reached, and the deal is close to being completed.
It is understood that the Greek defender will sign a five-year deal at the Deutsche-Bank-Park, ensuring he remains a Frankfurt player until 2029.
During his time at PAOK, the 20-year-old has featured on 70 occasions, scoring seven goals and registering assists, as well as helping guide his side to become Greek champions last season.
