Bild reports that RB Leipzig midfielder Eljif Elmas could leave the club in the winter as he has struggled for game time since moving to Germany.
Elmas joined Leipzig at the beginning of the year from Napoli for €24m but has struggled to break into the first team at the Red Bull Arena. This season, Elmas has only played once, a cameo in the Champions League while last season he played 14 times only making two starts.
Leipzig would be open to allowing the North Macedonian international to leave in the winter if he wishes. However, Elmas wants to stay and fight for his place at the club. The 25-year-old would have been the perfect replacement for Dani Olmo, but he has struggled to impress and the likes of Antonio Nusa and Christoph Baumgartner have been used ahead of him.
The chances of a move are particularly unlikely but Napoli are said to be interested in bringing Elmas back to Italy.
