Poland beat Wales to advance directly to a group that included the Netherlands, Austria and France, while Ukraine will face Belgium, Slovakia and Romania and debutants Georgia will play Turkey, Portugal and the Czech Republic.

Italy will be among the favorites to reach Berlin, where the final will be held in July, but England, Spain and France will have something to say about it.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo will want another shot at glory to add to his 2016 victory, with this likely being his last European Championship given he is 39 years old.

Here talkSPORT takes a look at the favorites to win, with odds courtesy of Bet talkSPORT.

Croatia – 40/1

Euro 2024 could be the last hurrah for an extremely talented Croatian team.

With Luka modricMarcelo Brozovic and Andrej Kramaric, all over 30 years old, could be the last tournament in which this golden generation is together.

While going all the way could be difficult, they will certainly cause some problems in a tough group that includes Italy, Spain and Albania.

Denmark – 33/1

Another nation perhaps past its prime with several key stars preparing for what could be their final tournaments.

Kaspar Schmeichel, Simon Kjaer and Christian Eriksen are getting along well and while they could make a difference this summer, they are unlikely to lead them to glory.

That being said, yes manchester united If star Rasmus Hojlund can show his quality then they could do well.

Italy – 16/1

While Italy is one of the most iconic teams in world football, its hopes of winning the tournament seem slim.

While beat England in the 2020 final, Italy has failed to qualify for the last two tournaments and only qualified for this summer's tournament after topping its qualifying campaign.

Passionate Italian fans are hoping for a successful tournament, but the Azzurri could struggle as they prepare to face Spain and Croatia in a tough group.

Netherlands – 16/1

Ronald Koeman's team fits perfectly into the mold of being the dark horse of Euro 2024.

With talent throughout their squad, the Netherlands have the potential to go far, but that will depend on stars like Virgil van Dijk, Frenkie de Jong and Cody Gakpo finding their form early on.

However, they are in the 'Group of Death' along with Poland, Austria and France.

Belgium 16/1

Belgium, another nation that is in a period of transition, is certainly not as strong as it was five or ten years ago.

The golden generation that included Vincent Kompany, Eden Hazard and others now clings to Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku the main attractions.

However, it remains to be seen if they will be enough to lead them to glory.

Portugal – 9/1

One of the most talented teams in Europe on paper, Portugal will cause problems for any nation they face.

Bruno Fernandes, Rubén Días, Joao Félix, Bernardo Silva and Rafael Leao will be an integral part of Roberto Martínez's team this summer, as will Ronaldo.

At 39, it could well be Ronaldo's last hurray for his country and he will be determined to potentially exit the international scene with a trophy in his hands.

Spain 8/1

While Spain has reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020, there is a sense that it is still not the powerhouse it once was.

Replacing legends like Xavi, Sergio Busquets and Andrés Iniesta is difficult and in Alejandro Balde, Gavi, Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and Pau Cubarsí they have players capable of shining for years to come.

However, heading into this summer, it looks like Spain could fall short of its aspirations to reach the finals.

Germany – 6/1

Germany has the potential to go all the way at Euro 2024, but it could also endure a hellish tournament.

There is no middle ground for Germany, which was eliminated in the group stages of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, while it only reached the round of 16 at Euro 2020.

But finishing as runners-up in 2012 and 2016, while winning the World Cup in 2014, shows they are very much an all-or-nothing nation.

With veterans like Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos and Manuel Neuer joining stars like Jamal Musiala and Kai Haverz, there is always the threat of causing real problems.

France – 7/2

France is the second favorite to win Euro 2024 and you only have to look at their squad to understand why.

Kylian Mbappé He heads a successful list of players who will be desperate to go one step further than they did two years ago in Qatar, when they were beaten by Lionel Messi and Argentina in the World Cup final.

If Mbappé wants to have the same respect as Messi, he needs to win the biggest tournaments, starting with Euro 2024, so you can bet your house that they will do everything possible to win it.

England – 11/4 (favorites)

While it may not be something fans are comfortable with, the Three Lions are the favorites to triumph at Euro 2024.

Although England's performance in the World Cup was disappointing, Gareth SouthgateTeam Italy reached the final of Euro 2020 last time and ultimately lost on penalties to Italy.

But with Harry KaneJude Bellingham and Phil Foden among those truly at the top of their game, it would take a brave soul to bet against England ending 58 years of pain by winning a trophy.

England are favorites largely thanks to the talents of stars like Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.
