Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has offered himself to Barcelona, reports in Spain have claimed.
The Blues’ £107million signing scored a stunning free-kick against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Wednesday and held up his shirt in celebration, as if to hit back at reports claiming he was seeking an exit.
Fernandez’s move to Stamford Bridge has been underwhelming, especially alongside record £115m signing Moises Caicedo in the heart of midfield, but his overall performance was excellent during in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Villa in midweek.
According to Sport, Fernandez’s agent has approached the LaLiga giants, with the Argentine keen on a move to the Nou Camp.
The Spanish outlet reports that the World Cup winner will struggle to move because of his lengthy contract at Stamford Bridge, which expires in 2032.

Barcelona are reportedly keen on Fernandez but will find it difficult to generate funds to lure the expensive midfielder to LaLiga.
Urging that Fernandez is fully focused on Mauricio Pochettino’s project at Chelsea, the player’s agent Uriel Perez told ESPN last week: ‘This [the rumours] came out of the London press, I don’t understand why.
‘Both Enzo and I are very clear on what this project is, which was transmitted to me on the day of the World Cup final.’
The Blues have had yet another difficult campaign under Pochettino, sitting 11th in the Premier League table after suffering a 4-2 defeat by Wolves last weekend.

Chelsea do, however, remain in both domestic cups, with a FA Cup fifth round place and a League Cup final against Liverpool to look forward to on February 25.
