Erik ten Hag has welcomed Manchester United's pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt.

“Two years ago I wanted to sign him, but he was already too advanced at Bayern Munich.

“But believe it or not, it didn't come specifically from my head in this process.”
