Erik ten Hag has revealed that he and Jadon Sancho have “put an end to” their differences at Manchester United.
Sancho He was expelled from the club's first team training after hitting Man United boss on social media after a press conference.
Ten Hag claimed he did not train well enough to be included in the squad for the Premier League trip to Arsenal, and the winger denied this in a post on X that was later deleted.
After months of exile away from the first team for his public backlash against his manager, Sancho left to re-sign for his former club Borussia Dortmund on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 campaign but is now back at United.
He has returned to senior training at the Premier League giants and it appears he and his boss are ready to hit the ground running again.
Speaking through The athletic On Sancho's future at the club, Ten Hag said: “Yes, as we said, we have drawn the line.
“Manchester United need good players and Jadon is one of them. We have drawn that line and we will move on.”
“We have set the limit,” he repeated when asked if Sancho is ready for a fresh start after returning to training. “We are moving forward.”
Sancho joined United from Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for £73m but has struggled since his move to Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals and assisted six others in all competitions since joining, with his last goal coming in May 2023.
However, he could now be ready for a clean slate at United in time for the new season, Ten Hag's third at the club since extending his stay.
There was much speculation that the Dutchman would leave in the summer, but his contract has been extended until 2026.
United's pre-season campaign got off to a disappointing start on Monday as… defeated 1-0 for Norwegian side Rosenborg – Sancho was not part of the squad due to his late return to training following last season's Champions League final.
The Red Devils have only made one signing so far this summer, with Joshua Zirkzee Bologna signing in a £36m move.
