Erling Haaland made yet more Premier League history during Manchester City's chaotic 4-1 win over Ipswich.
The Norwegian scored twice City went 3-1 up in the 16th minute and then completed his hat-trick in the second half.
Ipswich took a shock lead in the seventh minute but then conceded three quickfire goals, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring between two Haaland efforts.
There were no more goals until the 88th minute, when Haaland scored from outside the area to complete his hat-trick.
The goals mean Haaland has extended a special record he set in February 2024 when City of man secured a 1-0 victory over Brentford in the Premier League.
Haaland's winner meant he had completed the set, scoring at least once against all 22 teams he had faced in the Premier League to that point.
Brentford became the latest club to have their defence fall at the hands (or feet) of the striker, with six other teams also conceding just one goal against the former Borussia Dortmund star.
The story is a little more painful for Wolves, though, who have allowed no fewer than eight goals against Haaland, the most he has scored against any team in the top flight.
And the local rivals Manchester United They have also suffered quite a bit, with the striker having scored six goals against them.
Haaland's goals against Kieran McKenna's side mean he has now extended his record by scoring against Ipswich, who were the only Premier League side not to concede a goal to Haaland as they secured promotion.
Speaking ahead of the match, McKenna had admitted that stopping the Norwegian had been one of his pre-match goals and praised his quality on the pitch.
“I think he's quite unique in world football, in terms of his physical attributes, his strength, his pace and his power,” he said. “There's probably no one in modern football who comes close to him in those aspects.”
“He's an incredible striker and of course we've analysed this week and worked hard to try and give ourselves the best chance to compete against his strengths. But on the other hand, we know again that they have a lot of different strengths.
“They have individual quality in all the different positions. They have different ways of using that individual quality with the different structures they use with the ball.
“They are a team with fantastic strengths and we will try to make the best of them, but we will also try to make sure that we give our best over the 90 minutes and show our identity on the pitch as well.”
If all of this wasn't impressive enough, that's not the only record Haaland has extended with his performance today.
Before this game, the Norwegian had scored 13 goals in nine Premier League appearances in August, more than he had scored in any other month.
And there is clearly something about this month that has the 24-year-old more prolific than ever in the top flight.
