He scored two solo efforts, one opening the goal and the other a delicate clip, while his second goal of the day saw him finish off an excellent passing move by slotting the ball into the net.

Now it's two consecutive trebles after defeating Ipswich City easily in their previous match.

The double treble means he now has eight Premier League hat-tricks in 69 games, the same number as Harry Kane He scored but it took him 320 games to achieve it.

The Premier League's all-time top hat-trick scorer is a former Manchester City star Sergio Aguero who hit 12 in 275 games.

But when asked if Haaland can overtake him, former Chelsea star Cascarino believes he will before the season is out.

He replied: They will probably get another four hat-tricks this season.

“It's amazing. I'm looking at you and it is. Would it be so unlikely for him to get another four hat-tricks? No, not at all.”

Shocked co-host Natalie Sawyer responded: “So he could do that with less than 100 games played? That doesn't seem right at all. He's an absolute robot in some ways.”

Cascarino added: “He's everything. I mean he's got a big smile on his face most of the time and you think, well, why wouldn't he? Because he's confident and that's evident.”

“If he avoids injuries, he will easily score more than 30 goals this year.”

The most hat-tricks in Premier League history

12 – Sergio Aguero (275 matches)

11 – Alan Shearer (441 matches)

9 – Robbie Fowler (379 matches)

Haaland now has 70 league goals in 69 games since joining Man City in 2022 from Borussia Dortmund.

He took home the Golden Boot in each of his first two campaigns with 36 and 27 goals respectively.

And now, with seven in his first three games, he could be on his way to a famous three-peat.

Haaland's treble also made history for another reason: it means the club has had more trebles (43) than any other club since 1992, surpassing Liverpool.

While after the win over West Ham, another simply said: “Fuck you.”

But we know you'll love writing about a few more topics this season, when they inevitably happen.
