Everton are close to closing a deal to sign Olympique Lyonnais star Orel Mangala later this year. transfer window, according to transfer expert Fabricius Romano.
The Toffees have already signed Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam and Jake O'Brien this summer to bolster their squad, while Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom have joined on loan. They have also signed Asmir Begovic to add depth to the goalkeeping department.
However, after a dismal start to the season, the Merseyside club are looking to add more reinforcements before Friday's deadline to provide Sean Dyche with enough resources to help them survive relegation.

The journalist further claims that the Belgian international has already agreed to move to Goodison Park before the end of this transfer window.

“Everton are close to finalising a deal for Oriel Mangala to join on loan with an option to buy from OL. The player has already agreed to the terms of the deal.”
German journalist Florian Plettenberg claims Mangala will undergo his medical before moving to Goodison Park, and that Everton also have an option to make the £34m loan deal permanent.
From Mangala to Everton
After joining Lyon on an initial loan deal from Nottingham Forest last winter, the 26-year-old made the switch permanent this summer; however, it appears his time in France will be cut short.
The midfielder previously helped Forest survive relegation and Everton fans will be hoping he can do the same for them this season if he eventually joins in the coming days.
The midfielder is strong and dynamic, as well as being good in the air. Mangala is comfortable in possession and can play with passes between the lines, as well as being efficient in defensive contributions. He therefore has the attributes needed to play in Dyche's pragmatic system.
In addition to signing a new midfielder, the Merseyside club are also reportedly looking for a new right-back with Gonzalo Montiel and Kieran Trippier are emerging as serious targets, so it remains to be seen how many new signings Everton will make before Friday's deadline.
