However, the report adds that any potential move for Nketiah to Goodison Park is dependent on the departure of Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer.

Now that his move to Marseille has fallen through, Bournemouth have also shown interest in the 25-year-old, but talks have since stalled, leaving Everton with a clear path to sign the striker.

Nketiah's contract at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire in the summer of 2027 but there is talk of a summer exit, with Everton looking like a likely destination for the side. £100,000 per week star, who is valued at €30m (£25m) per Transfer market.

Nketiah would be a great addition to Everton

Signing a centre-forward this summer is a priority for Everton following disappointing goalscoring results from their forwards last season.

Everton have only scored a mere 40 goals in 38 games. Premier League Last season, they were the second-lowest scoring team after relegated Sheffield United. The centre-forward duo of Beto and Calvert-Lewin managed just 14 goals in 77 games in all competitions.

Going for a fine finisher like Nketiah should be a no-brainer for the Merseyside club, whose struggles in front of goal were evident in their 3-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on their Premier League opener on Saturday.

Nketiah averages a goal every 184 minutes, which is an impressive result considering he mostly makes cameo appearances for Arsenal.

Sean Dyche's side are already facing the dangers of possible relegation due to their financial constraints and some hierarchical divisions.

Despite this, the Merseyside club have been able to make some smart signings, including Jake O'Brien, Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam and Jesper Lindstrøm.

Adding Nketiah to their ranks this month would be a huge deal for the Toffees and could boost their hopes of survival this season.
