Fan images capture the moment Casemiro criticizes Alejandro Garnacho for giving the ball away against Chelsea
Manchester United fans praised Casemiro for questioning Alejandro Garnacho for forcing him to concede a free kick against Chelsea.
The Red Devils drew 1-1 with the London side on Sunday, and Bruno Fernandes' second-half penalty was canceled out by Moisés Caicedo's effort just four minutes later.
Despite the interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy Remaining unbeaten after Sunday's draw, there was a feeling of frustration among United fans inside the stadium.
AND casemiroThe intense interaction with Garnacho summed up the atmosphere at Old Trafford.
Images published by a fan in the stands on unknown shows Garnacho in attack, with the Argentine on the edge of the area and looking ready to pass the ball to one of his teammates.
But instead of putting Chelsea Under pressure, he turned around, looking for a companion behind him to find another way in.
However, he took too long and played the ball too short, allowing Chelsea's Pedro Neto to take the ball away from him.
The Blues star then charged down the flank, with Garnacho first following him before taking his foot off the gas when he saw Casemiro approaching to close down Neto.
In the end, the Brazilian was forced to collide with the Chelsea star to stop the visitors' counterattack, conceding a free kick in his own half.
And Casemiro really wasn't impressed with his teammate for putting unnecessary pressure on his team with five minutes left.
When he got up from the ground, he faced Garnacho – who was out of range -, clenching his fists and shouting something inaudible towards the end.
When Garnacho appears in vision, he is not looking at Casemiro, but instead hovers over Neto as the Chelsea star rolls on the ground clutching his ankle.
Casemiro also saw the yellow card for his foul on Neto.
Manchester United have already had a turbulent season and sacked the manager Erik ten Hag After two and a half years in charge, the Dutchman only played one of his last eight games.
Former star Van Nistelrooy will be in charge until November 11, when Sporting coach Libson Ruben Amorim arrives to take the wheel permanently.
The Red Devils are 13th in the Premier League after their dismal start, already six points off the European places.
Ten Hag supposedly felt disappointed by three of its starsin which Casemiro appeared.
But Man United fans were happy to see the former Real Madrid star criticize his team-mate and praised him for trying to raise the team's standards.
“I'm very happy that Casemiro attacked Garnacho here,” wrote one on X. “The best thing about a new coach is that these players have nowhere to hide.
“You got the last guy fired, so if you don't give 100 percent, you'll be exposed.”
Another said: “Casemiro is very sad, but I love seeing him take out players when they are not making the change like Garnacho here.”
“The sad truth is that many United fans would let this pass because of Garnacho, but if it were another winger, they would attack him mercilessly,” added a third.
Next Thursday, Man United will face Greek side PAOK in the Europa League.
