Football fans were shocked to see Joleon Lescott’s new haircut as supporters online claimed the former Man City and Aston Villa defender is now ‘unrecognisable’.
Lescott retired from professional football in 2017 after a 17-year career which included spells at Villa, Wolves, Everton and Manchester City amongst others.
The centre-back ended his career having won every available honour in English football with Lescott’s time at Man City seeing him lift two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and League Cup.
However, while the former England international starred on the pitch, he was constantly noticed for his hairline off it – and fans are now astonished at his new look.
The 42-year-old is now attempting to establish a career as a pundit and has landed several television gigs covering the Premier League since his retirement.
Lescott was most recently part of TNT Sports’ midweek Premier League coverage and viewers took to social media to comment on the ex-defender’s new look.

Although it remains unconfirmed, Lescott appears to have undergone a successful hair transplant that has restored his hairline since he retired from playing.
The hair restoration process has become popular amongst elite footballers with David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, and former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp amongst those to have undergone the procedure.
Lescott now boasts a full head of hair and comments on social media showed a unanimous stunned reaction at his well-groomed style.
One hilarious comment comparing Lescott’s before and after look stated on X: ‘Joleon Lescott’s hairline – one of the biggest comebacks in footballing history’.
Another similarly added: ‘I almost didn’t recognise Joleon Lescott. That’s someone else,’ alongside a series of different emojis.
‘Joleon Lescott has a completely new hairstyle every time you see him. Fair play,’ added another post on the social media platform.
