Chelsea is visiting on matchday 12 of the first division when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday 23 November. The blues will look to increase their points tally after a problem against Arsenal I saw two of them go down last time.
Enzo Maresca's side are slowly but surely consolidating their status as one of the top four sides this season in the English top flight and, as they try to do so once again, here's a look at Chelsea's possible XI for the game against Leicester.
Goalkeeper – Robert Sánchez could keep his place in goal. The Spaniard is the one chosen for the Premier League while Filip Jorgensen's participation has been limited to the rest of the competitions.
Defenders – James Reece is out, so Malo Gusto could keep his place at right back, while Marc Cucurella will be the favorite to feature on the left side of the backline.
Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill have been Enzo Maresca's preferred pairing at the heart of Chelsea's defence, so they could start once again this weekend.
Fernández and Sancho start
Midfielders – Enzo Fernández is likely to replace Romeo Lavia in the starting lineup. He suffered a knock against Arsenal a couple of weeks ago and could be on the sidelines for longer. The Argentine star will most likely partner Moisés Caicedo in the double pivot.
Further ahead, Pedro Neto could be sacrificed in favor of Jadon Sancho on the left flank after having put his illness behind him and trained with the team over the past few days.
Meanwhile, Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer are expected to keep their places at right winger and number 10 respectively.
Forward – Nicolas Jackson hasn't been in top form of late but will still lead the Chelsea line ahead of Christopher Nkunku.
Here's what Chelsea's squad could look like on Saturday.
