Former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic a candidate for the West Ham job if Julen Lopetegui is fired
Sky Germany reports that former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic is a candidate for the West Ham job if the current head coach is fired.
Terzic is currently without a club after leaving Dortmund in the summer following their loss in the Champions League final to Real Madrid and their fifth-place finish in the Bundesliga. Terzic is ready for the next challenge in his career and has already received interest from AC Milan.
In East London, the appointment of Julen Lopetegui has not gone as expected. After a vast amount of spending in the summer, West Ham are currently 15th in the Premier League with only two wins against Crystal Palace and newly promoted Ipswich Town. They are also coming off of a 4-1 loss to Tottenham at the weekend, which has brought the Spaniard’s future into question.
Terzic already has a relationship with West Ham. The Dortmund native was Slaven Bilic’s assistant coach at the club between 2015-17, so is already familiar with the club. Terzic will also be reunited with Niclas Füllkrug who also left Dortmund in the summer to move to West Ham.
The former Dortmund head coach also recently appeared on The Coaches Voice to explain Dortmund’s Champions League semi-final win against PSG.
