Just as he walked away to celebrate, legendary footballer Ronaldo could be seen applauding the goal that gave them a 1-0 lead.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was quick to congratulate the youngster for his incredible effort.

Angelo's start on Friday night was his third under Al Nassr and saw him play alongside other stars such as Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte.

The young Brazilian signed for Chelsea from Santo last summer in a £12.95million deal.

He was loaned to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg for the 2023/24 season and made 25 appearances in all competitions, assisting four goals.

Angelo missed the final two months of the campaign due to injury and returned to parent club Chelsea, who sold him in September.

His move to Al Nassr is proving fruitful so far, as he will also play in the AFC Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

Ronaldo doubled Al Nassr's lead 11 minutes into the second half with a penalty, his sixth goal of the season in seven appearances.

It was the former Manchester United striker's 70th goal in Al Nassr colours.

Since joining the Saudi team, he has played 77 games in all competitions, where he has shown that he has not lost any of his offensive qualities.

Incredibly, he is now just 97 goals away from reaching the 1,000 career goal mark.

Their goal for this season will be to finally finish the season as Saudi Pro League champions.

Following the victory over Al Wehda, Al Nassr is second in the standings after five matches, one point behind defending champions Al Hilal.
