Senior Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo opened his frustrating time in Catalonia.
The France international joined La Blaugrana from Nice in January 2019 as one of Ligue 1's most-rated young centre-backs.
However, injury problems and managerial changes meant he never fully settled at the club, and loan moves were quickly arranged.
After spells at Schalke 04 and Benfica, Todibo realized that his future was not in Barcelona, after only four. The league appearances at the start of the 2020/21 season.
He joined Nice on loan, and the French club activated a buyout clause on him in June 2021, after an impressive campaign.
His stock continued to rise, with links to the Premier League and Paris Saint Germaindespite its reputation for lackluster applications in Barcelona.
Todibo stated that he was never comfortable in Barcelona, and his time was not made easy by the club and his teammates, as part of a new documentary about the club from Amazon Prime.
