Former judge accuses Real Madrid of 'financial doping' with public money – 'Could cause problems with UEFA'
Real Madrid has not faced a lack of problems surrounding it Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and its intended use of the lands around it. The renovated stadium has been described as the economic engine of the club, but they have faced a number of problems.
The Whites have had to cancel a series of major concerts and reschedule them for next summer due to noise complaints. Real Madrid had taken measures to reduce the noise of concertsbut so far they have proved insufficient.
Former Supreme Court judge Jose Antonio Martin Pallin told TVE that Real Madrid could face a major problem when it comes to its plans to host concerts, as it might not be possible to fit into the regulations of the noise
“Noise is a crime against the environment. There are sentences from Strasbourg and from all sides. Also, the responsibility will have to be transferred to the mayor. I hope there will be a truce and we will see if it happens, and s He corrects her.”
“It's impractical to soundproof it, absolutely impractical according to what the technicians working on it tell me.”

Equally, a subsidiary company of Real Madrid, Real Madrid Estadio, which is managed by Real Madrid General Manager Jose Angel Sanchez, also has an agreement to manage an underground car park directly linked to the Bernabeu. The Council will invest 6 million euros in the construction of the car park, but will then lease it to the Real Madrid Estadio on a 40-year lease, with expected profits of more than 500 million euros.
Even here, Martin Pallin saw potential trouble on the horizon.
“Real Madrid dope themselves with public money, with parking and with activities that are not football and sports. So they could also have problems with UEFA,” said the 88-year-old.
A local union of neighbors was formed to contest the award of the contract and the construction of the underground car park, challenging the matter even in court. They say that the planning permission studies were not carried out correctly, and they dispute their public utility.
