Former Liverpool star Jordon Ibe has been released by Ebbsfleet United after just one appearance for the club.
Ibe signed for the National League team in October and was praised for moving down the league to get his career back on track.
However, the 28-year-old only made one appearance for the club, coming off the bench.
That cameo only lasted six minutes against Oldham Athletic in February.
The winger has been sacked by Ebbsfleet, as well as seven other players, after the club avoided relegation on the final day of the season after drawing 0-0 against Boreham wood.
Ibe joined Liverpool in 2011 as a 16-year-old, making 58 appearances for the club before leaving five years later on a £15 million contract to Bournemouth.
He had signed for the Reds since Wycombe Vagabondswhere he was announced as a wonderful child with a great future.
In total, he played 119 times in the Premier League, in addition to passing through Derby County and in Türkiye with Adanaspor.
Mental health problems affected the Englishman throughout his career and his last appearance in this country's football league was in December 2020 as a substitute for Derby in a 0-0 draw against Stoke.
Ibe is not the only former Liverpool star to leave Ebbsfleet, with David Amoo also on the exit list.
While Ibe could be one of several players leaving the Kent squad this summer, it is often common practice for non-league clubs to lose the majority of their squad each year.
Only six players remain contracted to Fleet while they are talking to 12 others on their books about extending their part-time contracts for another year.
It remains to be seen where Ibe ends up next and, at 28, there is still a way back for the striker.
