Former Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp once again confirms he will not return to management anytime soon

Speaking at the International Coaching Congress in Würzberg (via @Sportschau), former Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp confirmed once again that he will not be returning to management anytime soon.

The former Liverpool manager was recently touted as a potential replacement for Gareth Southgate as England manager, as well as being linked with the vacant USA job. However, Klopp once again confirmed his stance on working anytime soon:

“Nothing. Nothing job-wise. No club, no country. A few people must not have heard that part.”

More specifically, on the England job, Klopp said:

“It would be the biggest loss of face in the history of football if you said I’d make an exception for you.”

Klopp also gave his thoughts on Julian Nagelsmann and Germany’s performance at EURO 2024 where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by eventual winners Spain:

“Julian did a great job. Outstanding in terms of external impact. Really, really good in the pure coaching job. I loved how Julian said that we would be world champions in two years. I jumped up from my chair and said: We will be world champions in two years and I will watch it.

Despite stepping down as Liverpool manager at the end of last season, it has not stopped Klopp from being linked to a variety of roles even though he has continually said he will take a sabbatical after nine years at Anfield. One of those roles has been the German national team but with Nagelsmann extending his contract as Bundestrainer until 2026 it is unlikely that the DFB will get the man that they have wanted for so long any time soon.
