Former Premier League manager tells Manchester United to consider Coventry manager Mark Robins for Erik ten Hag's job
Alan Pardew has urged Manchester United to consider hiring Mark Robins as their new head coach.

Taking charge of the Sky Blues for the second time in 2017, Robins led the club to promotion from League Two and League One, as well as winning the EFL Trophy in 2017.
Coventry were also just minutes away from playing in the Premier League after being beaten on penalties by Luton in last season's play-off final at Wembley.
This season, Robins' team has attracted attention by reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they were on the verge of achieving the definitive comeback against manchester united after taking the game on penalties despite being 3-0 down.
Robins knows all about the Red Devils, having graduated through the club's youth structure before helping the club to glory in the FA Cup, European Cup Winners' Cup and European Super Cup.
It is those combined experiences that led former West Ham and Newcastle boss Pardew to suggest him as a future candidate for the job.
Responding to a Man United fan called Adam's thoughts on Erik ten HagAs for the role, Pardew told The Final Word: “I have a boss for you, Adam. Are you ready?”
“He is not international, he has not won the Dutch or French league, but he is an old player of his.
“He's done it brilliantly for four seasons, he almost beat you in the semi-final. Mark Robins, there you go.

“Send him in.” He will do a job for you, I assure you.
“A former player who knows the club and knew it before arriving there. He did his training before going there: he did his duty, he did his homework and he knows the levels.
“By the way, I'm not your agent, I'm just saying!”
Responding to Pardew, Man United fan Adam replied: “I saw the way they played last week and they had something we were missing at United.
“They had that courage, that bite between their teeth; In the boxing world they would say they bite the mouthguard and have a don't die attitude. That is what we need.
“Kieran McKenna at Ipswich too, why can’t we just go out and give one of these young coaches a chance?”
In response, Pardew said: “Hopefully Kieran and Ipswich get promotion this week.
“They have a fantastic chance if they win midweek, which is an important game for them, but he will find himself in the Premier League and will not leave Ipswich if that is the case.
“If they don't get it, there will be some clubs lining up to get it.”
