Former Tottenham striker Troy Parrott joins Harry Kane on perfect form after scoring four goals in an impressive display for his new club
A former Tottenham striker earned a perfect score on Saturday, but we're not just talking about Harry Kane.
According to Whoscored, Troy Parrott enjoyed a perfect game for his new club, AZ Alkmaar, who claimed a convincing victory in the Eredivisie.
Following an impressive 9-1 win over Heerenveen, Parrott scored an incredible four goals to help his new employers to victory.
Those four goals came from just seven shots on goal, meaning more than half of their shots on the day found the back of the net.
He also scored a hat-trick in just eight minutes at the start of the second half.
He also completed four key passes and one tackle, meaning it was a pretty spectacular day at the office.
The striker was also in good company, with Kane also earning a 10/10 rating on Whoscored for his role in Bayern MunichThe 6-1 victory over Holstein Kiel.
Kane scored a hat-trick Breaking a record in the Bundesliga and provided an assist with six shots to his name and three key passes.
Parrott emerged from the Tottenham academy and made four appearances for Spurs' first team.
These were spread across a series of loans to Millwall, Ipswich, MK Dons, Preston North End and Dutch side Excelsior.
Parrott, now 22, opted to leave Spurs permanently over the summer for a fee of £6.7m and this performance really announced his presence in style at his new club.
Explaining his decision to join AZ Alkmaar, Parrott told the club’s website in July: “Before signing here, I heard a lot of good things about AZ and spoke to Kenzo Goudmijn, among others, who I became friends with when I played with him.
“I believe that AZ is the perfect club for me to take the next steps in my development. I will take with me the useful experience from last year.
“I'm helped by the fact that I already played in Holland last season and am therefore used to the competition and life here.
“All in all, I am very happy to be here and I can’t wait to meet the fans at the stadium.”
Parrott now has four goals in five starts for AZ Alkmaar, with the Dutch side sitting second in the Eredivisie with 13 points from 15 games.
