Former star of France Emmanuel Petit he warned Kylian Mbappé in its early days at Real Madrid.

Mbappe has finally ended his long saga and completed a free transfer to Los Blancos ahead of Euro 2024.

He will join up with his new teammates next month as the team heads to the US for a pre-season tour.

The Les Bleus captain has been heralded as the player to ease Real Madrid to the next level of domestic and European dominance in the coming years.

His last season in Paris included a career best 44 goals in all competitions Paris Saint Germain and he wants to hit the ground running in Madrid.

However, one of the most pressing questions for Carlo Ancelotti is where he fits into a winning Real Madrid team.

Ancelotti almost exclusively played a 4-3-1-2 formation as Real Madrid marched on The league and the UEFA Champions League titles in 2024.

PSG have most often played with a 4-3-3, with Mbappe on the left of a front three, a space mainly occupied by Vinicius Junior in Madrid.

Mbappe has played centrally in patches at PSG, but his natural role is one that Vinicius slips into, and this is a puzzle for Ancelotti.

Petit offered his take on the situation and believes that Mbappe will be the one to suit up.

“Mbappe is intelligent and will try to adapt quickly to his teammates. He knows that the press is waiting for him. They will not give him time or allow excuses,” according to an interview with AS Diary.

“Vini did great, as did Rodrygo and Bellingham. The only free place in Madrid is in the center forward and I think Mbappe plays there.

“This is the best way, if you don't want problems with the players, especially with the one who just arrived.

I don't think Ancelotti trades Mbappe for Vini and knows it. It's a challenge for Real Madrid.”
