Frank Lampard is a candidate to fill the vacant role in Canada, in a surprise move for the Chelsea legend.

And while the former England international has been willing to wait for the ideal opportunity, that could come in the form of a surprise appointment as Canada manager.
According to the TelegraphLampard has been shortlisted by the Canadian Football Federation as a possible candidate for the country's new coach.
The Americans want to hold talks with the Chelsea legend, who was seen watching England train before their friendly matches against Belgium and Brazil.
However, it remains to be seen whether the job will be an attractive position for Lampard, who is willing to wait for the perfect opportunity.
Mauro Biello is currently in charge as interim coach after John Herdman resigned to join Toronto FC.
Lampard is no stranger to the other side of the pond, having spent the final years of his playing career with New York City FC in MLS.
But he has never coached a foreign club and his management experience is limited to Derby CountyChelsea and Evertonbefore replacing Graham Potter last season at Stamford Bridge as interim since last April.
The 45-year-old led Derby to the play-off final in his first year in charge of the Rams before taking charge of Chelsea, helping them to a top-four finish.
He was fired in his second year in charge with Thomas Tuchel replacing him and winning the Champions League with the Blues.
Lampard then took charge of Everton and steered them clear of relegation, but he was sacked in January 2023 after almost a year in charge.
“I'm enjoying being with the family and I hope to return at some point,” Lampard said.
“Hopefully something will come up that seems right to me, I really want to get back to work but, as I reiterate, I am enjoying family life.
“It's hard work, so when you're away, it's nice to appreciate being around all my kids.
“You love the work. You understand the rigors of this today. I have enjoyed all the clubs I have worked with.
“They have all been great challenges for different reasons. I enjoy working with players, improving the players and the team, so let's see what comes next.”
