Fulham unveils stunning stadium plans including pool and exclusive sky deck overlooking the River Thames
Fulham have unveiled ambitious plans for their new Riverside Stand, signaling a major upgrade to their home at Craven Cottage.
The ultra-premium upgrade to the historic stadium gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “fancy seating” and, interestingly, includes a swimming pool.
The west London club were due to open that part of the stadium back in 2021, but it has been pushed back due to several delays.
It was partially used in 2022, although ticket prices were over a hefty £100 each.
Fulham They have since revealed plans for the rest of the stand, which includes luxurious and glamorous features.
As part of the plans, a gazebo and a swimming pool will be included, for those who want to take a mid-season swim… and have remembered their trunks.
Two Michelin-starred restaurants will also be built, called The Gourmet and The Brasserie, offering champagne, cocktails and a four-course meal.
The top three floors of the upcoming Riverside Stand will feature The Sky Deck, offering panoramic views of the River Thames as a key attraction.
The opening of the Sky Deck is scheduled for December, coinciding with the full operational status of the New Riverside Stand, according to the club.
Hospitality will be among the most expensive in English, given the proposed additions, but the club says it will provide a “premium experience unlike anything else in football”.
This information comes from Fulham president Shahid Khan, who draws parallels with the hospitality characteristics of his NFL team the Jacksonville Jaguars'EverBank Stadium in Florida.
Explaining the rationale behind such designs, Khan said: “My vision for the new Riverside stand was to provide our fans and our neighborhood with a destination that would continue to honor our history and tradition at Craven Cottage every day of the year.
“In short, today is not about finally being able to offer a higher level of hospitality options that have essentially not been available to Fulham fans until now.
“This is about delivering the best match day hospitality experience in the world, which will also benefit the promise and long-term future of Fulham Football Club.
“Riverside's new stand at Craven Cottage will make this possible”.
