That is the opinion of former Premier League manager Alan Pardew, who believes that Klopp public announcement in January has been “disturbing” for the players.
Speaking after the Reds' loss to Palace, Pardew said: “In terms of Klopp's decision, I just want to touch on that because, as a manager, I felt it was a strange move that he made, announcing it at the time.
“I think in hindsight, if he thinks that was the right thing to do when he gets to the end of the season, only he can know.
“Personally, I think he should have waited until the end of the year and maybe told the higher-ups and left it at that.”
