Gabby Agbonlahor says it was easy to play against Gary Neville and David Beckham took him on the right
Gabby Agbonlahor has doubled down on her feud with Gary Neville by claiming the former Manchester United captain “wasn't very good”.
The Sky Sports pundit recently responded after Agbonlahor claimed that Neville's former teammate Nemanja Vidic was the most overrated defender in Premier League history.
The former Aston Villa striker previously revealed that he found it easy to play against Vidic, something Neville grumbled about in a recent episode of the Stick to Football podcast.
Responding to Agbonlahor's comments, Neville said: “A guy who played against Man United 21 times and won once and screams his head off in an interview.”
After hearing Neville's scathing outburst, Agbonlahor doubled down on his assessment of Vidic.
“When I said about Vidic, that's my opinion,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT. “Nemanja Vidic was a great defender, but not when I played against him. There will be clips where (Fernando) Torres, (Didier) Drogba and I ate it on a bagel.

“Against some defenders it wasn't difficult for you. I said that in my opinion it was not difficult for me to play against him.
“He was very aggressive, so I would spin him around from behind. It wasn't fast to be able to turn it. He also saw the penalty that he gave away in the final (of the 2010 League Cup).
“There is a clip that someone sent me where I spun him and he took me out and was cautioned.
“I found it difficult against John Terry, Vicente Kompany, Fernando River and Ledley King, but Vidic, I didn't do it.
Agbonlahor did not stop there. After taking offense to Neville's jibe about his professional record against manchester unitedthe former Villan was only too happy to even the score stating that Neville was slow and easy to deal with.
“It could have bothered Gary Neville but at Old Trafford I scored the winning goal 1-0,” added Agbonlahor.
“You can say you played 21 games and won once, but it's more about your personal experience, like playing against Gary Neville; I didn't think he was very good.
“But that was the last part of his career. Maybe when he was younger he was better, but against Gary Neville it was easy. We focused on his side because he was slow on the ball and slow to get back in.
“Look at the game where he retired against West Brom, where he had a surprise. Because he was older, it was easier to play against him, but during his youth, of course, he was a top player even though (David) Beckham carried him on that right side.
