Several players recalled the change after Neville's Christmas party in Amazon Prime Video's documentary '99'.
Speaking on the series, Yorke explained: “We needed a bit of fun. The boys needed to release some of that tension that was building up.
“The Christmas party was a real Christmas party. I've been to a few Christmas parties, but none like this one.
“Before Keano gives his opinion, Giggsy gives his opinion, Gary Neville is there somehow, I don't know what he's doing there, but he's part of the organisers.
“What does he know about Christmas parties? A guy who almost never goes out.
“I think it was 250 invitations. I think I must have gotten 150 myself.”
Neville He added: “We knew, most of the time, how to make sure we took care of each other and kept it private.”
However, Yorke, who scored 66 goals and provided 32 assists in 152 appearances for Man United, admitted: “When we got there the boys couldn't believe how many people were there. It was crazy.”
“And it's the best night. People who never drank, drank. I can tell you that.”
Meanwhile, Neville detailed some of the wild places he found during the festivities.
The former Red Devils captain said: “The only thing that makes me sick if I ever go out for a drink is the drinks.
“And Yorkie used to walk around with headshots, balancing them. You fire one shot, get up and walk to the next person.
“Some of the guy's wives came in and a couple of them got mad at me. This is your fault. And I always remember thinking, 'It's not my fault that your husband is dancing on the pole with a girl.'”
Captain Keane then ended the party with a moving speech to his team-mates in a bid to improve his form.
Neville added: “I remember Roy's speech at the end. Galvanizing everyone.
“'That's enough. Fix this. We have to start now.”
Peter Schmeichel He continued the speech, recalling: “'We can't do this. We can't play like this. That's not who we are. We're so much better than this.'
“So what we did was agree that we wouldn't lose again. And once we made that kind of commitment to each other, it pushed us back into the right frame of mind.”
After the match, United would secure the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
