Gary Neville thinks he knows why Ruben Amorim took out Marcus Rashford for the third game in a row
Gary Neville believes Ruben Amorim will allow Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United for “him and the club”.
The striker was left out of the Red Devils squad for the third consecutive game due to the clash against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Despite that, Rashford was present at Old Trafford for the contest.
Comes after Rashford explosive interview in which he revealed his desire to face a 'new challenge' outside the club.
Having progressed through the academy set-up, the 27-year-old knows the club better than most, but according to Man United legend Neville, it is time for Amorim to take control of the situation.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said: “Something has to change at Manchester United.
For 10 years, many of the same players have achieved the same results.
“We have talked about culture several times. If there are players who don't quite fit in, for one reason or another, if they don't have enough quality, we have to let them go.
“Ruben Amorim Now he knows, five managers before him have fallen.
“Some of them have shown faith in these same players.
““It's about protecting himself and doing the right thing for him and the club.”
Rashford stated his intention to leave the club earlier this week in an interview with Henry Winter.

Rashford said: “For me personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.
“When I leave, there will be no hard feelings. You will not have any negative comments from me about manchester united. That's me as a person.
“If I know a situation is already bad, I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen other players leave in the past and I don't want to be that person.
“When I leave I will make a statement and it will be from me. 100 percent.”
Rashford added: “I'm halfway through my career. I don't expect my peak to be now.
“I have spent nine years so far in the Premier League and that has taught me a lot, it has helped me grow as a player and as a person.

“So I have no regrets about the last nine years.
“I won't regret anything in the future because I take things day by day and sometimes bad things happen, sometimes good things happen. I just try to keep a good balance.”
