Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies are nearing their Bayern Munich return following recent injuries. Both players took part in training on Monday and the duo, should everything go to plan, could be available for the Rekordmeister’s second-leg tie against Lazio in the Champions League on March 5.
That’s a huge boost for Thomas Tuchel, with Bayern Munich currently 1-0 down against the Italian side.
Gnabry has been sidelined for Bayern since mid-December after he was substituted on in their 5-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt, only to be replaced shortly afterwards. Davies suffered a recent knee injury during Bayern’s 3-1 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Kingsley Coman will have to wait a little longer
Gnabry and Davies returned to training with the substitutes and reserves on Monday, with Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Co. given the day off. But not only that, Kingsley Coman also ran for the first time at Bayern’s Säbener Straße on Monday.
The Frenchman suffered a torn medial ligament in his left knee during Bayern’s 3-2 win against Augsburg at the end of January following a collision with Phillip Tietz.
