Graham Potter has refused to be drawn into speculation about him and Manchester United, saying much of what appears in the media is “untrue and untrue”.

While the Dutchman will have at least two games to save his job, Potter has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford as a preferred option for INEOS.
Potter has been out of work since he was fired by Chelsea in April 2023 after a disappointing 31 games in charge, but his excellent work at Swansea and Brighton kept his stock high.
Discussing the prospect of accepting the Man United job, Potter told Sky Sports: “I think what I have read so far in the media is false and untrue.
“I think I am the only coach in world football who has been linked to Stoke City and Naples in the same week!
“I take what the media says with a pinch of salt. I've had a lot of conversations with a lot of people and out of everyone's respect I think it's best to keep them private.”
When asked by presenter Dave Jones if he would take up the challenge, Potter replied: “I'm sitting here enjoying the challenge of answering your questions, that's where I am at the moment.”
Potter is also a firm name in the mix for the England men's team job.

When asked about the links to England, Potter joked: “I think it's time for a commercial break, don't you?
“As an Englishman, of course it's a fantastic job and I support the FA and what they decide to do and whoever the next manager is.
“Gareth did a fantastic job and I'm sure Lee will in due course, however long it may be.”
When asked about his next management role, Potter added: “I'm open to anything. I'm open to anything.
“As I said at the beginning, I had 12 years and a fantastic journey from the fourth division of Swedish football to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
“I would really like to spend the next 12 years in the same type of position: developing players, developing teams, working with people – wherever it is, I'm open to anything.”
