Wayne Rooney has stepped down from his role as a pundit on Match Of The Day after injuring his back while on a family holiday.
He manchester united the legend was ready to join Gary Lineker on the hit BBC show on Saturday night, but was forced to pull out due to a back problem he suffered.
As a result, Martin Keown and Micah Richards joined Lineker as they analyzed matches that included Man United's 2-2 draw against Bournemouth and resounding victory for Newcastle over Tottenham.

Rooney is seeking opportunities to return to management following his sacking as Birmingham City boss in January this year.
England's record goalscorer, who previously managed Derby County and DC United, will be hoping to make a big impression when he returns.
