Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has expressed his desire for Joao Félix to remain part of the team, believing that he can help Félix reach peak performance and become a key asset for Barcelona.
Joao Félix's situation is complicated by his participation in the ongoing Euro Cup while he has a contract with Atlético de Madrid, which is looking to sell him for more than 50 million euros. However, his limited playing time at the Euros, especially before their recent loss to Georgia, has affected his market value, making it difficult for Atlético Madrid to find a buyer at the desired price.
Barcelona reportedly have no intention of paying the €50 million that Atlético Madrid is asking for Félix. Instead, Flick and other club officials, including Joan Laporta, see potential in Félix and prefer to retain him. However, due to Barcelona's financial constraints and Felix's inconsistent performances last season, they are only considering another loan deal rather than a permanent transfer.
