Marcus Rashford was left out of the Manchester United squad in their thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
This despite his return to the fold during the defeat to Newcastle on Monday.
This ended a four-game absence from the 27-year-old runner-up's team. Ruben Amorim.
However, Rashford remained as a substitute as his team lost 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Regarding Rashford's absence, the United manager explained: by journalist Fabrizio Romano: “Marcus Rashford is still ill, so he is not available for today's match.”
It comes after Reason for Rashford's four-match break of the team was revealed this week.

According The AthleticAmorim was informed last month that Rashford had spent a Friday night in Manchester less than two days before a match.
Their alleged night out came just 48 hours before United's 4-0 win over Everton.
Rashford was subsequently left out of the starting XI for the loss to Arsenal in the Red Devils' next match.
Since then, the academy graduate suggested he's ready for a “new challenge” away from the club.
However, his current contract still has three and a half years remaining, following an extension last year.
So far this season, Rashford has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
Of them, three goals have been in his six games with Amorim.
The Portuguese took command in November after replacing the deceased Erik ten Hag.
And Rashford ended up missing out on a classic at Anfield with a much-improved United struggling to a 2-2 draw against the Premier League leaders.
In an exciting second half, United took the lead with an emphatic shot from Lisandro Martínez, whose shot hit the crossbar.
Liverpool equalized just before the hour mark thanks to Cody Gakpo's shot from close range.
Mohamed Salah put the hosts ahead with a penalty after the ball hit Matthijs de Ligt's outstretched arm in the United box.
But Amorim's resilient Red Devils responded through Amad Diallo's first shot when he connected with a low cross from the left.
