Kylian Mbappe's early life as a Real Madrid player was not easy. He came in for criticism from fans and the media during his first few months at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the idea that he did not contribute enough.
While things may not be the best outside the bubble, things could not be better from inside Real Madrid. Mbappe is adored by his teammates, as Federico Valverde told France Football (via AS Diary). The Uruguayan superstar also took the opportunity to call out those who called Mbappe a disruptive figure.
“We all know what kind of player he is, he is one of the best in the world. I think that today to be able to have him here is a tremendous satisfaction, a joy to share the field with him. He stands out in every match, in every session of training. He is a top player. Thank God we can have him with us, I can enjoy him and my family can also see him.
“And as a person, he is incredible. He closed many people – they said that when he came here, there will be a lot of conflicts, that I don't know what … He silenced all that, all those noises and showed that he is a spectacular person.”
It is clear that Mbappe will be a fantastic signing for Real Madrid. Adapting to Spanish football is not easy, and it will take time for him to return to his best. Fortunately, there will be no pressure from the inside, which will help him a lot.
