Scott McTominay had a big impact on José Mourinho at Manchester United.
The Trained Special United from 2016 to 2018 in what could best be described as fuel, but somewhat successful, winning the Carabao Cup and the Europa League.
It means he is United's most successful manager after Alex Ferguson and the only manager to lift more than one trophy.
Although it ended badly, he fondly remembers some of the players he worked with.
Talking to Rio Ferdinand in youtube channel fiveThe coach, who has just finished his time at Roma, was hesitant when asked who he liked to coach, as he did not want to leave out some iconic names after coaching some of the biggest teams in the world.
“The players I enjoyed the most (coaching) were the ones who gave me everything. Everything.
“And there are dozens and dozens and dozens, and maybe they're not the most talented, just the ones who gave it their all.
“Those who I felt couldn't give anything more than what they gave, these are my players.
“So if you want, you prefer… I don't want to be unfair to people and I will be unfair, but when you play a child, the child becomes your child for life. That's always my feeling.
“So I look at Raphael Varane (at Real Madrid) now at the end of his career, he is my son. When I look at Scott McTominay, (Paul) Pogba on the bench, playing against Scott McTominay in the Champions League against Seville, he is my boy.

“When I go from club to club, I find my boys and they will always be my boys.”
McTominay made his first start for United in the final game of the 2016/17 season in a 2-0 win over crystal Palace.
He then featured prominently during pre-season and increasingly became a first-team staple, although he was largely kept on the sidelines by Nemanja Matic and Pablo Pogba.
At the end of the 2017/18 season, Mourinho invented his own prize to give to McTominay, awarding him the 'Coach Player of the Year' award after making 23 appearances.
However, it wasn't until Mourinho left that McTominay became a first-team staple, forging a partnership with Fred under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
This season, the Scottish international has become an attacking instrument under Erik ten Hagleading the Red Devils' scoring charts with eight goals in 28 appearances.
In total, McTominay has made 237 appearances for his boyhood club and that is largely down to Mourinho, who helped bring the midfielder forward.
