As part of Angel PostecoglouIn Kulusevski's attacking system, the 24-year-old has been used in a more central midfield role this season.

This has allowed Son and Brennan Johnson occupy the wide spaces, with Dominic Solanke leading the line as a centre forward.

While Kulusevski has been tasked with being far more disciplined in a central midfield position, Son believes Tottenham are really starting to see how hard he works for the team.

Speaking ahead of the Europa League clash with Qarabag, Son said: “I think it's all about the coaching system and you also have to adapt, which is very important.

“That doesn't mean I have to stay on the wing all the time. In the last game, I was cutting inside and making inside runs. When Dom comes into a deep position, when he follows the centre-backs out of position, then I make these runs to open up space.

“I think it all depends on the situation. Deki is the kind of guy who wants to be in the middle, who can handle the ball very well with the opponent's back. That's his game and his joy right now. He's having a great season.

“Everyone talks about how incredible Deki's work rate is. He's everywhere on the pitch. I don't think people have ever seen that. Deki works so hard.

“I think it's very hard when I look at all the data and sometimes I'm surprised. It seems like I never stop running.

“I think all the players appreciate what he does and with the ball and the quality he has, there is no doubt that he can play in all positions. As a coach, I think he can play anywhere and do the right thing for what he asks of him.”

“There's no doubt about what he's doing and he's doing incredibly well right now.”
