As reported by Lyall Thomas, Hoffenheim have agreed to sign Southampton centre-back Armel Bella-Kotchap.
It had previously been reported that Die Kraichgauer were looking to lure the German defender back to the Bundesliga.
However, with a deal for the Bella-Kotchap stalling, Eintracht Frankfurt were ready to tempt him away from Hoffenheim and hijack the deal.
Nevertheless, as stated in the report, Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side have reached an agreement with Southampton for the move to be completed.
It is understood that Hoffenheim will pay €15 million for the 22-year-old, who will receive a four-year deal, seeing him potentially remain in the Bundesliga until 2028.
A medical has been scheduled for Tuesday, after which Bella-Kotchap will be announced as a new Hoffenheim player.
As well as securing the services of the former VfL Bochum defender, Die Kraichgauer are set to complete the signing of RB Salzburg centre-back Oumar Solet as they look to rejuvenate their backline for the upcoming campaign.
